The show starts with the construction of the ‘Thing’, with several men in grey coats deciphering complicated plans, measuring the space and marking out the lines. In this way, at the tempo of the average council worker, the ‘Thing’ gradually takes shape. The musicians arrive and set up their instruments, the technical staff take their leave, and ‘Thing’ gets ready to take off…
And if everything turns out fine that’s exactly what will happen, at least in terms of sound: the musicians keep this flying bandstand in the air and they create soundscapes there, landscapes which are also illustrated with video images created in real time.
What this really is, is an improvised outing into space, and its not without danger. Space is the place to be, or not to be? So you are sure of adventure!
