sound design for the dance piece by Katie Vickers, Inga Huld Hákonardóttir and Rebecka Stillman.
We Will Have Had Darker Futures attempts to weave together the past, present and future; to ask the present to welcome a desirable future by acknowledging the past, and to mix it all up into a time loop allowing our sense of temporality to be blurred. We Will Have Had Darker Futures thinks of possible new futures through daydreaming, language, and dance while continually emphasizing the passage of time in the act of collective finger knitting. Playing with our sense of anticipation, We Will Have Had Darker Futures is a short term detachment from our immediate surroundings, a visionary parallel reality that contemplates the bounds between past and present.
I’m very happy to work again for dance. This remarkable trio made a strange and beautiful piece. We premièred at the the BOUGE B festival in the Singel, Antwerp. I made a spatialised composition on 8 channels. Hopefully I’ll be able to come a long on the tour to take care of the spatialisation and live mix.
One of the advantages of working with dancers is that it encourages healthy food and delightful warming up yoga exercises
